US Considers $20 Billion Uranium Deal With Iran

The United States is considering a $20 billion uranium deal with Iran as part of ongoing negotiations. This proposal aims to help end tensions and reduce the risk of conflict. Talks are based on a three-page draft plan currently under discussion.

According to Axios, the proposal suggests that the US could release $20 billion in frozen Iranian funds. In return, Iran would give up its stockpile of enriched uranium. This step is seen as a key element in limiting nuclear risks.

Furthermore, US officials want to restrict Iran’s access to about 2,000 kilograms of enriched uranium. This includes around 450 kilograms enriched up to 60 percent. These levels raise concerns about potential weapons development, making the issue central to negotiations.
